The College Spy NCAA Tournament Contest

Information about the Promotion: The College Spy NCAA Tournament Contest (the "Promotion") is a free game in which participants are invited to create a free tournament bracket in which they select the winners of the games that comprise the 2019 NCAA Division I Men's College Basketball Tournament (the "Tournament"). The participant whose bracket scores the most points and who fully complies with all eligibility and other requirements of these Official Rules will receive a free College Essay Package from The College Spy (“Prize”), to be redeemed by the winner or a friend or family member of his or her choosing during calendar year 2019. If there is a tie, a single winner will be selected at random from among the two or more participants with the highest number of points. The point scoring system is explained in the platform used to administer the brackets.

Eligibility: To participate in the Promotion, you must be a legal resident of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia and at least 18 years or the age of majority in your State of residence, whichever is older, at the time of entry. The Promotion is void in overseas U.S. territories, possessions, commonwealths and military installations, and where prohibited by law.

How to Enter: To enter the Promotion, each participant will be required to submit his or her email address to The College Spy via an online form. Using that email, the participant will be sent a link to the bracket administration platform and must submit a single completed bracket via the platform prior to the bracket submission deadline specified in the platform. In order to receive updates regarding the Promotion and receive notification of the Promotion winner, a participant must remain opted-in to The College Spy’s email mailing list throughout the Tournament. Each individual may submit only a single bracket. If multiple brackets are submitted by a participant, all of that participant’s brackets will be deemed void. Entries may only be submitted as described in the foregoing.

Conduct: By entering the Promotion, participants agree to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules. Failure to comply with these Official Rules, and any offensive, disruptive, threatening, abusive or unsportsmanlike behavior or communication in connection with the Promotion may result in disqualification from the Promotion at the discretion of The College Spy.
Odds/Winner Notification: Odds of winning depend on the outcome of the Tournament games and the number of eligible entries submitted and received. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer. Prize may not be transferred other than as specified above. Only the listed Prize will be awarded, and no substitutions, equivalents or redemptions will be made. Expenses incurred by participants, together with the reporting and payment of all applicable taxes, fees, and/or surcharges, if any, in connection with the Promotion or arising out of, or resulting from, acceptance or use of Prize, are the sole responsibility of the participant.

A potential prize winner will be required to verify in writing his or her compliance with all eligibility and other requirements of these Official Rules prior to claiming the Prize. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the Prize or fails to return any required written confirmation of eligibility, the Prize will be forfeited. No unclaimed Prize will be awarded.

General Conditions: The Promotion is governed by the laws of the United States, including all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

By entering, participants: (a) release and hold harmless The College Spy and its affiliates, owners, managers, members, directors, officers, employees, and agents (“Promotion Entities”) from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Promotion and receipt or utilization of the Prize, and (b) grant to The College Spy the right to use and publish their name and State of residence online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Promotion without further notice, compensation, consideration, review or consent.
