Your neurodivergent teen has a decision to make.

When filling out their college applications, students with ADHD, LDs and ASD must choose between disclosing their learning difference or disability to the college admissions officers evaluating their applications or keeping this information to themselves. Their choice could help them get accepted.

There is no right answer that fits all students. At The College Spy, we advise most students to disclose and suggest a few let the rest of the application tell their story to admissions. Our advice is personalized to each student because each student and situation is unique.

In this course, you will learn:

• How to decide whether your student should disclose

• How disclosure can strengthen an application when done well

• What admissions officers need to know and what students should leave out

• How to write an effective disclosure statement

You will leave feeling:

• Confident about whether disclosure is right for your student

• Better prepared to help your child share their story

• Hopeful about the value your student’s unique experiences can bring to their application

You will receive:

• A worksheet to help your child write a disclosure statement

• Five real examples of student disclosure essays

The class is taught by Michelle McAnaney, Founder of The College Spy. Michelle has helped hundreds of neurodivergent students successfully apply to college and earn scholarships.

The course is 60 minutes and includes time for questions.
